intro

In June 2024 a motorbike crash drove my femur through my hip. Emergency surgery followed.

This site is the public, honest record of the road back — from that operating table to the start line of IRONMAN Italy Emilia-Romagna on 21 September 2030.

The last time I raced fit, on 14 April 2024, I won a super-sprint triathlon at Woking in 47:56 — 1st of 18. That is the pre-accident benchmark everything now gets measured against.

2025 was the pain year: rehab, no racing. My first triathlon back was a super-sprint at Dorney Lake on 26 August 2026 — 26 months after the crash. A second hip operation is planned for early October 2026, and the 2027 training plan is written around it.

The dashboard shows exactly where I am right now. The training numbers stay empty until I log my first real TrainingPeaks week — no invented data on this site, ever.

This intro is a factual placeholder built from my race data. I'll rewrite it in my own words — Kai.
